Dr. Steve Steinberg, CEO, Balboa Nephrology Group (San Diego, CA)
Dr. Steinberg was born in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated NY Medical College in 1968 and spent a decade in the USN being discharged as a Commander.
His nephrology training was at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he was mentored by Drs. Lowrie and Lazarus as well as C.L. Hampers.
After leaving the USN, Dr. Steinberg joined Balboa Nephrology Medical Group and is now their CEO and Medical Director. He has had several FMC appointments as Medical Director at several San Diego Dialysis Units as well as Director of Hospital Services. In addition to being active in hospital leadership and in Sharp Health Care, he is now currently the Medical Director of Balboa Institute of Transplantation.
