Robert E. Farrell, President, Home Dialysis for FMCNA

Mr. Farrell is a senior executive with Fresenius Medical Care (FMC), the world’s leading renal therapies company with annual revenues in excess of $12 billion. FMC provides dialysis services to approximately 210,000 patients in its over 2,700 clinics worldwide and it is the clear leader in the development and manufacture of technology, products, and therapies for the treatment of renal disease. Mr. Farrell has been with the FMC organization for twenty years and has broad management experience spanning finance and operations, business analysis, technology assessment, sales and marketing, government reimbursement, strategic planning, business development, licensing and acquisitions functions.

This year, Robert Farrell has been appointed President of Home Dialysis for FMCNA. In this position, he is charged with marshalling and leading the appropriate resources across FMCNA to accelerate the growth of Home Dialysis in the Bundled Payment environment.

In his tenure at FMC, he has held senior level positions in Finance, National Account Sales, Strategic Business Development, and as President of US Vascular Access Centers. Concurrently Mr. Farrell also served as Business Unit Compliance Officer for the Products Division in regards to FMC’s successful and industry leading Corporate Compliance Program. Mr. Farrell has been most recently the President of Fresenius Integrated Care Operations including Fresenius Health Partners – KidneyTel, which provides comprehensive integrated care management services to commercial insurance and government payers. This integrated care approach was validated in the CMS ESRD Demonstration Project to improve renal patient outcomes and reduce total health-care spending, while enhancing physician’s capabilities to manage patient co-morbidities.

Mr. Farrell received an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and a BS in Accounting from Richard Stockton College.
