Improved Clinical Outcomes

In addition to cutting costs, Fresenius Health Partners improves the clinical outcomes of ESRD patients. Our competitors cannot match the outcomes of our comprehensive program as summarized below. This performance has been recently validated by the CMS (Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services) ESRD Demonstration Project.

Fistula Prevalence

AV Fistula Prevalence chart

An arterio-venous fistula (also known as the AV Fistula or AVF) is the preferred type of access because it is the safest and has the lowest risk of infection. 61% of Fresenius Health Partners members have an AV fistula for dialysis access, as compared to 50% of dialysis patients nationwide.
